The summer has gotten away from us but that’s okay. It’s the beginning of fall. And the beginning of fall mean it’s Libra season! But as it turns out, Libras have a presence amongst us year ’round. Well, musically we’d almost bet money that a Libra has crafted a song that has moved you. There is just something special about someone born between September 23rd and October 22nd.
The Listen Closely Lounge wants to expound on that “something special” with its Libra Lounge series, a series highlighting artists born between the days designated for the one that provides balance but is horribly indecisive. We are 2 weeks into Libra season, so we want to pause and raise an ear to celebrate the artists who have already had their earth day and the ones yet to celebrate theirs. We enlisted the help of our fellow Playlist Practitioner, Big Wickie, to create a playlist based on the list we provided, and he immediately sequenced a list perfectly exemplifying Libras from the diverse music genres. Big Wickie suggests you grab your favorite elixir as he also did when we appeared on his Bridge Builder podcast show (check out the show below) and enjoy this playlist from artists such as Sting, Eric Roberson, Ziggy Marley, John Coltrane, Usher and Bruno Mars. Of course you don’t have to be born under Libra to enjoy this playlist; you just have to enjoy music.
